Hintertux Glacier

Perfect levels of snow are guaranteed 365 days of the year at Austria’s only all year round ski region, the Hintertuxer Glacier!

Snowboarders adore the action-packed Betterpark in summer with Halfpipe, Funboxes, Table-tops and Rails.

The Hintertux Glacier also offers non-skiers a whole range of attractions: Nature’s Ice Palace at 3,200 m above sea level is a globally unique feature. A visit to the palace is an awe-inspiring experience with its crystal and glacial blue play of colours.

Skiing & Snowboarding

The ski area in Mayrhofen is divided in two areas: The action mount Penken and the leisure mount Ahorn. As the name implies is the Ahorn ideal for families and beginners. The Penken is an exciting piste experience.

The Harakiri Piste is a particularly exciting highlight, with 78 % gradient - Austria"s steepest piste. The Vans Penken Park is ready and waiting for boarders and freeskiers with 6 areas available for every level of ability.
